One Night 3 : Full Circle Manual

A Letter From Nobody
The year 2019. A bizarre accident occurs in the bustling mining town of Stillwater. Contact with the town is mysteriously lost, and the fate of its citizens is unknown. Several rescue groups attempt to investigate the situation, but they never return. Three months quickly pass without any explanation of the event, though Stillwater never leaves the public eye. Speculation runs wild, with everything from the supernatural to aliens having a part in the bizarre proceedings.

Another mysterious event; Tom Hawkins receives a letter in the mail from his sister, a journalist staying in Stillwater on that fateful night. The letter is dated three months previously, though the reason why it has arrived now is as mysterious as its origin. Is there a chance that Tom’s sister is somehow still alive, trapped in the nightmare that Stillwater has become? Seeking the truth, Tom packs for a long journey and soon, he himself vanishes without a trace. He has decided to trace the
letter back to where it came from, and is headed to Stillwater itself.

Stillwater

One Night: Full Circle tasks the player with exploring the town of Stillwater, a place overrun by evil as a result of some mysterious catastrophe. The town is a vast urban area, situated in the middle of acres of primeval woodlands. Before the accident, the town was estimated to have a population of around 12,000. Located near the site of a prosperous coal mining facility, Stillwater was sustained
by a flourishing industry. The town is fully self-contained, with a motel, a hospital, a complex sewer system and its own university.

Gameplay Instruction
In One Night: Full Circle, your goal is to move through the town of Stillwater and find clues relating to the location of your missing sister. In order to reach this goal, you’ll need to solve puzzles, read memos left behind by the town’s inhabitants, search for useful items and supplies and evade enemies that are hunting you relentlessly.

Be sure to examine everything you find. You’ll need every item, object and clue to proceed. But be careful - it may be dangerous to search an area thoroughly. Try to find ways to search without becoming trapped by the enemy.

Using Items

There are two types of collectible items in One Night: Full Circle. Most commonly, you can find supplies, which are items such as first aid kits and ammunition that will aid your exploration of the town. You can also find objects such as keys and tools, which are used to open doors and solve puzzles. You can press the escape key to access your inventory at any time. Using an item is as simple as selecting it from the menu.

Solving Puzzles
There are many places in Stillwater that may not unlock even with a key. In order to discover the codes to unlock these doors, you’ll need to carefully read the clues left behind by the town’s inhabitants and solve cryptic riddles. Read everything thoroughly – the smallest scrap of information could potentially be very useful.

The Dangers of Stillwater
There are strange monsters of unknown origin stalking the ghostly streets of Stillwater. During your exploration of the town, the monsters will do their best to hunt you down and make you their prey. The best thing you can do is to simply run from them – fighting may be a tiresome pursuit and make life harder for you later. If you must fight, you can equip a weapon you are carrying by selecting it from your inventory. When you come into contact with an enemy, you will be presented with the combat menu. You may choose to attack bare handed, try to dodge the enemy’s blow, or attack with your weapon. Beware – attacking with your weapon consumes strength and ammunition, which you may need later to combat a bigger, tougher foe.

Saving the Game
Stillwater is a dangerous place. However, there are still some safe havens scattered throughout the town. If you can find these protected rooms, you will be able to save your progress, heal up, and reflect on the clues you have found so far. Monsters cannot attack you in these rooms, so use them as a place to retreat to when you feel overwhelmed, but be careful – the healing facilities within them can only be used a limited number of times.

You will know you have entered a safe room when you hear calming music play. This is your chance to relax and recompose yourself, and prepare for the ordeals ahead.

Puzzle Answers
The puzzles you’ll encounter in One Night: Full Circle can be rather difficult to solve. If you’re bogged down trying to discover the answer, you can find it in the following section.

Mine

  • To unlock the elevator to the mine shaft, note the year carved into the statue in the mess hall. Now simply advance each digit by one (nine becomes zero) to get the unlock code.
Motel
  • The puzzle with the Torn Pages can be confusing. The papers have been written in code. The letters correspond with their direct numeric opposite in the 26 letter alphabet. Essentially, this means that an A is really Z, a Z is really an A, a B is really a Y, a Y is really a B, and so on.
Hospital
  • To unlock the storage room, read the memo taped to the desk in the front lobby. The equation, 3x + y = x X y must be solved. You must discover the numeric values of x and y are. This is quite easy as both are below nine, so some basic algebra skills will work; 3 X 2 + 6 = 2 X 6. Thus, the code is 6626.
  • Unlocking the Specimen Case is easier than it may seem. In one of the rooms in the east wing, a chart on the wall lists the code.
  • The hospital chief’s desk is locked with a numeric lock. The memo on the desk says that the code is the same as the product number of a medicine called Sycofene. In the staff lounge, there is a Cell Phone in one the lockers and a number for a pharmaceutical company on the wall. Call the number and note the code that you are given.

Sewer

  • Unlocking the register in the clothing store is another puzzle that is easier than it seems. The code is the birthday of the store owner. By reading the diary left behind in the back room, you can figure this date out (simply count back two days from the date of the first entry).
  • Escaping from the sewer can be a confusing experience. You need to use the Glass Vial to collect a sample of contaminated water from the floodgate near the exit. Pour the sample into the analysis machine and you’ll be asked to enter the floodgate number; this can be found painted on the wall near where you found the sample. It’s 202.
University
  • Once you have unlocked the clock with the Clock Key, you can manipulate the numeric mechanism inside. The poem is in reality a simple mathematical equation. Simply perform the described operations on each number and then add them all together to get 19.
  • Getting the Earth Pin from the chemistry lab is a potentially deadly puzzle. First, you must unlock the briefcase using the code in the diary found in the east wing garden. When you take the Earth Pin and poison gas is released, simply put the Gas Mask from the briefcase on and wait for it to dissipate.
  • The art gallery puzzle requires a little thinking. Note the numbers on each of the artworks. Simply take the number from each artwork listed on the professor’s memo and enter them in the listed order into the mechanism.
