Story :
(Main) Gwyn Demian heard news that there is treasure, which he looked for, in residence that became waste place with firing few years ago and went there. But there was the shadow of death, But the more he tried to live, the more drastic situations for him.
Which choice does he choose?

General Review :

Like the first series of Hide and Seek, The Story of Dorothy, the stranger give me a vibe and difficulty to solve their puzzles. The graphic still good as ever, the chase event is not much as in the first series, and death zones are decrease either. But, the puzzle and traps are more difficult than the first.

To be honest I died much on Sue’s story. When I am about to across the pond. It’s hard, and finding the book pages, the material for keys in Gwin’s also not easy. Lives in The Stranger also unlimited. Unlike in The Story of Dorothy (which always take a charge for 10 minutes if you lose a heart piece), we can die and restrart over in The Stranger.

BUT. THIS GAME REQUIRE IN-APP PURCHASE

You want to survive? Upgrade your lamp and buy a shoe

You want to get a true end? Buy Necromancy box key, Ancient Language Dictionary, and Devilish Language Dictionary

And to buy all those stuff you must pay with Necromancy Dolls (US$ 2 for 300 necromancy dolls, and I spent US$ 6 to buy 900 dolls since I upgrade my lamp to the max)

And the translation. Oh my God, I maybe a native speaker for English, but the translation is quite bad. I had a hardtime to understand those stories (but I made it, yeay), and some part still left untranslated (SPOILER : The rock-paper-scissor game in the Doll’s Room using Korean Language. So make your best guess to read which one is rock, scissor, or paper)

As for the story side, since this game divided by three parts, I think I will review it one by one

1^st Story : Gwyn

You play as Gwyn, in the mansion (I guess it’s Dorothy’s place in first series). You have to find a clue and have to find out who is actually The Damian Family. In this part, you can only access limited room and with “low level” item. Everything is new, so you have to upgrade it, or buy it in the shop.

Here what I upgrade :

1. For the light, since the room is hell dark. I bought :

From candle to a big candle : Cost 30 necromancy dolls

From big candle to a lamp (normal one) : Cost 60 necromancy dolls

From a lamp to a gas lamp : Cost 90 necromancy dolls

2. I need to find necromancy Box (It’s important if you want a true ending) so I bought a bundle of Necromancy’s keys. It cost 60 necromancy dolls. Don’t forget to search material for making Silver Key and Gold key by running around in the mansion before you decide the ending.

3. Some announcement is written on Ancient Language, so I bought Ancient Language Dictionary. It Cost 60 necromancy dolls

4. This is optional. But in the first chase event, I couldn’t “run” faster, so I bought a pair of shoes. It cost 60 necromancy dolls

How many Necromancy dolls that we need to complete Gwyn’ true story? 300 necromancy dolls (360 if you buy the shoes).

Since the rooms are limited, there’s only a puzzle to solve and four dead zones to trap you and sent you to instant game over.

2^nd Story : Sue

Sue’s story unlock if you already complete the true story of Gwyn (I don’t know the detail, maybe you can unlock it as long as you get the ending). In this part, you play as Sue, wandering in the forest to get a story of the past by collecting pages and make a book. And that’s the only ending. Without completing that part, you can’t exit the forest. So, to have a ‘Devilish fairy tale book’, you have to buy :

Devilish Languange Dictionary : Cost 90 necromancy dolls

Combine the cover with pages : Cost 30 necromancy dolls

If you already complete all the request, you only have a couple of minutes to exit the forest. If you fail, that would be a instan game over. And you have to retry to the last scene before you die.

There’s no trap except in the ground, center the pond. There are spikes if you not hurry leave that place.

 

3^rd Story : Priscilla

I guess, same as Sue’s, this story will be unlock after completing Gwyn’s. In this part, you play as Priscilla, and got the setting same as Gwyn. But unlike Gwyn who just can access limited places, Priscilla got some secret places in the same mansion. Priscilla’s goal is to find the truth about Gwyn. And the story takes time before Gwyn arrive. There’s no In-app purchase in this part, but Puzzles, Traps and Deat zones are just crazy. I am going game over so many times just to past through the traps

And there’s AI, a strange girl who follow Sue. Who is Ai, really? I still don’t know. But I can assume she is Sue’s follower, or a new devil’s contractor.
